WHY IS THIS HOME FOR SALE?
Builders have homes already built and in "inventory" because (1) it
was sold and
the purchaser was not able to complete the purchase through financial reasons
or job transfers. Or, (2) the builder, knowing that buyers are often
looking for
immediate possession "specs" the construction knowing that, sooner or later,
a buyer will need a home and prefer new. This is a time honored tradition of
larger builders with the financial ability to finance the construction.
WHY BUY A HOME ALREADY BUILT?
Why buy inventory?? There is some advantage to buying a home that is already
built. For one thing, a home inspector can do a proper evaluation of
the systems,
advise you about maintenance and spot potential problems. Secondly, while
the builder may have made some decorating selections that you would not have
chosen, upgrades to new construction are generally top quality.
